Sometimes, prior to learning a new movement practice, it is necessary to first mobilise and create space in areas of the body that have reduced range of motion (this can happen for a variety of reasons, for example: trauma, surgery, sedentary lifestyle, etc.). Using movement rehabilitation techniques like myofascial release, mobility exercises and resistance training, we are able to restore posture, increase mobility and build sustainable strength in the body to support a healthy, balanced Yoga practice.
The pregnancy journey is such a special and unique time. Our classes honour this by carefully adapting the Yoga practice to support, empower and strengthen the body through all 4 trimesters of pregnancy.
The practice of meditation can feel elusive and inaccessible. We are all about un-complicating this practice of awareness and inward focus. By adding short, guided meditations into each session, we gradually breakdown the mystique and overwhelm around, what can be, a really powerful, introspective and grounding practice.
We do not take a one-size-fits-all approach to injury management. Whether you are working with an injury, recovering from a surgery, or experiencing chronic or acute pain, we craft a personalised movement plan for every one of our clients.
There are several different physical, emotional, and hormonal shifts that accompany the journey into menopause. Yoga is filled with therapeutic practices and techniques that menopausal women can implement into their lives to navigate this transition with grace and strength.
An essential element of every class, breathing exercises are calming, strengthen the muscles of the core, facilitate body awareness, establish presence, and improve respiratory function.
We understand that attending a class at our studio may not be accessible for everyone. For distance learners we offer a high-quality livestream Zoom option with all the same attention to detail that you’d receive in an in-person session, but from the comfort of your home.
